| Name: Upside Down Jellyfish (Cassiopeia xamachana) | Origin: Atlantic Ocean |
| + Interesting Facts Upside Down Jellies are a unique species of jellyfish in that they can be kept in a standard rectangular aquarium (as opposed to a round one). They are very hardy filter feeders and do great in tanks with low flow. These jellies will swim around the tank and come to rest on the sand bed upside down with their tentacles facing the light source. They feed through photosynthesis and filter feeding plankton. They are non venomous and will not sting your hand. Use caution in tanks with strong flow, open overflows and big powerheads. | |
