Description: Warty Rock Anemones (Bunodosoma cavernata) are very hardy and an excellent choice for the reef tank. They are low-light filter feeders and unlike other anemones do not require any special lighting to thrive. Their diet consists of meaty foods such as bits of squid and brine, as well as plankton and other free floating microorganisms and detritus. They have short tentacles that range in color from orange to brown to white, and their oral disks are usually a contrasting color. They will attach to the surface of live rock, or dig their foot into the substrate to attach to the bottom glass, only exposing their disk and tentacles above the sand. They are a great choice for the reef tank because once they fix themselves to a certain spot they rarely move. Size:
