Peppermint shrimp are excellent detrivores and will also provide cleaning services of its tankmates. These shrimp are also known to eat the nuisance aiptasia anemone (glass anemone).

These shrimp are one of the few known invertebrates who will eat the nuisance aiptasia anemone. Their body is covered in thin cherry red striping and when fully colored up they emit an astounding red hue. These shrimp can be safely kept in groups.
