Description: The Hairy Sea Hare (Bursatella leachii pleii) is an excellent reef-safe hair algae eater. These sea slugs are non-toxic and will not release any harmful toxins if they pass in the aquarium. Once they consume all of the hair algae in the aquarium, supplemental feeding is required. They will accept chaeto or caulerpa clippings from a refugium 3-4 times a week. Their bodies are covered in soft spikes resembling "hairs", and they are best kept in groups due to their congregating nature.
