| Name: Coral Banded Shrimp (Stenopus hispidus) | Origin: Atlantic Ocean |
| + Benefits to the Aquarium Coral Banded Shrimp are a well-known predator of the bristle worm and are excellent detrivores. They are also in the cleaner shrimp family and will provide the same services to fish as the skunk cleaner shrimp does. | |
| + Interesting Facts These shrimp are a staple in the aquarium trade and bring lots of character and color to the reef aquarium. Their whole body is candy cane striped red and white, and their multiple pairs of bright white antennae can reach up to 5" in length. These shrimp usually hang out under ledges and emerge from the rockwork at feeding time. They have two oversized claws, with a series of small white claws behind the large pair.
